That back doesn't look good. The v-shaped creases are bad. It should be fairly smooth across the shoulders diwn to the small of the back if fitted properly. I would take it back.

Yeah back looks pretty bad, and it seems to come from not the shoulders but the waist, which is a bit weird.

Does $15 and $35 respectively for hemming and waist alterations sound expensive?

It did to me...

I've recently become enamored with old hermes luggage and briefcases and would like to find somewhere online that may have some of these and other high end vintage luggage and bags (eg. LV before they overbranded everything, Bottega Veneta, etc...) - eBay simply doesn't get specific enough and has plenty of fakes, Grailed doesn't have quite what I'm looking for, and a flight to Paris to hit up the flea market isn't in the cards right now. Thoughts? First dibs has potential (but not a lot of choices), but it would be nice to have another place, at least to compare pricing.

I understand that I'm looking for something very specific, and will probably have to put in significant effort to find exactly what I want by going to estate auctions also (I live in the Bay Area and could get up to SF), but it would be really nice to buy or at least get some inspiration from my desk.

The particular type of bag I'd first be interested in purchasing would be what's often called a "hold all" or "large tote", something more refined than a messenger, but more casual than a briefcase. I would explore these resources for future purchases as well though.
Thanks for your help.

More than I've usually paid for hemming (which I do myself these days anyway), but less than I've paid for waist. All in all, those prices seem pretty normal.

Hello.
Can anyone compare the size of the 173 Church last and 125 Cheaney last if he has both shoes? Same size?
Thank you.

If a denim jacket was never washed but continuously work for say 30 years would there be any visible wear/distressing at all?

$15 doesn't sound unreasonable especially if it's a re-hem rather than hemming unfinished pants.

A tailor tell me that a full canvass suit is stiffer than half canvass. He also said that half canvass suit is much better fit and drape. How true is it?
