Using a tape measure, 35" on me is mid thigh, 38" is just above the knee, and 44" (the longest coat Burberry makes) is just below the knee. Short trench coats seem to be the fashion right now (that's the entire Burberry Brit line), although I agree, they make you look like you are wearing a mini-dress. Unfortunately, the 44" coat only comes in gabardine and that is getting out of my price range.
Fashion comes and goes man. Do you want a real trench coat or some trendy thing? And why are you so set on Burberry then if that's the case? Are you a brand whore? Look somewhere else for a trench coat if you can't find a decent length one in your price range from Burberry.
Where can I find belted cardigans that don't cost a lot? Price range: 0-$200
Sorry, but that just seems so feminine.

Oh, I thought belted cardigans were male garments. When I google "belted cardigans", only imagas of women came up.

Does anyone know what kind of shoes these are? I really want these and have no idea what kind of shoes they are! They are from a miller lite commercial called "the race." Please help!

Just got a Kent Wang grenadine from my fiance. It's beautiful, but there are a few loose threads along the edge. I'm trying to figure out whether to cut them off. I'm afraid that if I leave them they'll start snagging/pulling as I knot and unknot the tie. So anybody who has a decent amount of experience with grenadines, what should I do?

My wife just purchased a Belvest topcoat for me in a 36, which is the size suit I typically wear (which is how I've always shopped topcoats and overcoats), but I'm questioning whether to keep it. It is light weight, unlined 4% cashmere and fits like a glove ... but ... it fits like a suit coat that comes to just above the knee. There is no way I could ever wear this coat over another jacket or a bulky sweater ... does this mean it is too small? I will be restricted to shirt + cashmere or thin merino wool sweater. The question(s) - too small? If I can't wear it on top of a suit, is it not a topcoat?

They're just ordinary shoe trees, Left Hand. Made by Woodlore, if memory serves, and pretty much the same as the trees Allen Edmonds sells on its website. There's nothing uniquely wonderful or awful about them.

I suppose if you jammed a large shoe tree into a relatively small shoe, the tree might stretch out the shoe. But that's likely true no matter what the make of shoe tree; it's not as if it's purely a JAB thing.

I can't tell if you tried wearing a suit coat underneath it from your facts. If not I'd do that if it doesn't fit i'd return it for a larger size.
