It would be nice to have a matching pair in brown.

Yea agree, and then chili, olive and natty(?). lol, not holding my breath.

Although...to most people I know, the bison and shark are similar texture, even the brown dimpled HM is close.

Speaking of double-soled Cambridge, and of spectators today, I thought I'd flash this SMU at ya. They wouldn't burnish the calf because of the milkshake suede and I had them leave finish off the sole edges (this was before they antiqued the edges, what they called "toast" edges originally), so I painter-taped the suede and burnished the calf and hand-stained the sole edges myself. That was years ago and it's lightened since - I haven't worn them in awhile - but I still love this shoe. Had it done with Poron footbed and split reverse welt, and added actual leather cord laces.

Any thoughts on Alfred Sargent ? I'm looking at a boot in the 87 last (it's still Boot Week!). They'd be an English size 11.5 F , which is 12 D USA. I'm good in the 65 and 511 lasts from AE, and have a higher arch. Appreciate your thoughts.

Several off topic things, because I like talking with you guys:

Shark stuff/shark week- I’ve always found sharks incredibly interesting and used to binge on Discovery Channel during Shark Week when I was in college. If you’re interested, Ocearch has a shark tracker app where you can track the movement of sharks they’ve tagged (it’ll ping the shark each time it surfaces). Pretty neat tool.

Non-AE eBay purchase- As I’ve mentioned a few days ago, I’ve got all of my bases covered (some several times over) when it comes to dress and casual shoes, so Prince Albert slippers are the primary footwear-related purchase I’ve been making. Thanks to the 20% off coupon code earlier in the week, I was finally able to purchase a pair of RLPL Collis slippers in green velvet. Got them in this morning:

These things are badass and the fit is solid. These are my first solid slippers and I like that, but I’m probably going to get them embroidered with my initials in pink (for that “disgustingly preppy/GFY” vibe)

Finally, I love living close enough to the coast that Mrs OF and I can decide to take a spur of the moment day trip (not having kids helps too lol):

As a random recommendation, if you halfway like the idea of aloha shirts, Reyn Spooner’s “Spooner Kloth” popovers are the greatest thing ever. Super comfortable, super durable, and age really well. Pricey at retail, but you can find them both mew and used for cheap

Fun fact- the beer I was drinking is Galveston Island Brewing’s Tiki Wheat, which was made locally infamous during Harvey as the 6-pack a random person gave a Fox reporter during a live broadcast on the sea wall:
