i went true to size in my 47s and they fit great, sizing up 2 might be a bit too much, but 1 should be good

Great, and for 34 inseam I assume 36 should do since they'll shrink a bunch in length? What do most people with 34 inseam (which i assume is a standard inseam for many people) get?

Right now I own a pair of APCs in tagged 31, and Im not enjoying the fit so I want something thats fuller in the leg and less tapered. I don't mind it being slim, but I don't want it to be APC slim in the thighs. I also do not want it to be bulky.

So, go up to 38 or go up to 36?

I have exactly the same measurements as you (35/34) and have a 35/38 in the regular 501 STFs. Not sure if the sizing on the 47s is the same.

Edit: I should also note that I have about a 1 - 1.5" roll at the cuff so the 38 inseam is a little long (I wanted it that way)

I went +2 to waist based on Levi's recommendation and the jeans are way too big. The waist stretches back out to the preshrunk size in the 1947s in my experience.

I bought some raw black new fit 501s today for $19.99. Fit is extremely similiar to my SExSCs06, and the jean texture is almost the same as Samurai 710BKs.

Do you have fit pics of your '47s poly?

the levi's 501 I got from JCrew has a tag showing 855010001 instead of 475010001. there is 1985 lvc 501? no, right?

it's selvage w/ big E, and JCrew's website says it's a 47 501
