Beautiful shoes!
You should really consider adding a RTW balmoral boot, there definitely is a maket for them.

thanks so much for this great thread.

I wonder if anyone else would be interested as much as I would in seeing a running photoessay / commentary on a complete shoe from beginning to end. Perhaps this would be giving away to much of your craft, but I'd like to see the order in which the steps are taken and how they are done.

A photo essay? Hmm.. Not a bad idea, I will consider about it.. Much better quality than videos, and better view to some phase.

Until that, here is my youtube video, about English sewn technology:

Marcel,

Your videos are popular. All my classmates love those videos.
A photoessay is also good for your book writing, I think.
The japanese LAST magazine has many good photoessay every issues, too bad that I don't know Japanese. But the photo is still very good.

BTW, do you get my 2D copy yet?

That is the way to make cream thread wax. I don't put lanolin in but the proportion is 60:40 beeswax to rosin. For black wax mix 50:50 beeswax and tar. For both you need to melt them in a pan and once liquid, pour it into a washing up bowl full of cold water witht the cold tap running and you must massage the wax , pull an dfold for a few minutes. Keep the water running coz the wax will be hot. When cool, divide into balls and roll in french chalk or talc and store. Hope that helps!

There are many ways to make wax. The exact recipe depends on the season too - I make softer in winter. I change my receipt all the time, for example this summer I met Janne Melkersson, and - thanks to him - I could improve my mixture.

Good luck with it!
