I would also recommend you size up. I think that’s clearly the recommendation of this threadpleasestopaskingaboutthisnoIwillnotpostapicjustforthis.

Good evening, the “Does this Banks jacket fit” social experiment was conducted by Harvard University for the month of September. It has now concluded. Thank you for your participation.
Saw this pop up on my eBay alerts. I think it's finally over...

@NickPollica is the Saph2 a modified version of the Saph? If so, what did you change about them?

narrower through the thigh so more of a vintage baggy fit (kind of like silver tabs).

Pretty disappointed in that description. I mean that is the infamous Banks jacket, and there’s no mention of the multiple fit pics or discussions it created. It would have justified the mark up.

I’m pretty sure the amount of times tried on and shot into a smudged mirror negates NWT. 😏

Truly love the fabric of this bad boy but I unfortunately misinterpreted what “oversized” meant here. A bit on the short side

The fit looks good, the Sam shirt used to be even shorter. I was surprised at the price of that one, with hand embroidered flowers and pattern I would've expected it to be more

I believe the Harbor shirt is based on the Sam shirt, which is meant to be a wide, cropped fit.

Looks like you might have sized more for the chest size, whereas IME it's best to size for length and be OK with the looser fit. That shirt style doesn't really work if you size down unless you are on the shorter side.

Just wanted to do a follow up and share sizing advice for future members who are new to 18 East sizing.

Measurements are often huge but don't go by those alone. I'm normally in between an M and a L. The measurements on the bellows jacket i purchased are larger than anything including oversized stuff I own in my closet.

Logically, the M would be the one to go with but decided to trust the member advice here and went with the L. Well, It's a good thing I did! Despite the crazy large measurements, In real life, the L fits properly and the M would have been "too small".

Tl;dr: Trust the sizing advice on product pages and member advice here. Don't go by the numbers alone.

Next up: Lamar Topcoat! I'm a fan of this brand now, very unique pieces that are not your usual Engineered Garments or JCREW etc. They're cool and feel like they were made by hand. Not priced crazily like Bode or Story MFG either.

Without multiple low quality fit pics in a dirty mirror and weeks of asking for and ignoring advice, we cant really verify your claims.
