1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I agree completely. I have a heavyish-gauge sweater in a plain weave that I really like. Wouldn't wear it w/ a tie, but I like it w/ jeans. Very practical. Have had it about 12 yrs, and I've worn it so much I've had to reinforce it in some areas w/ stitching.. Sewed suede elbow patches on it a year or three ago after NOBD showed us how.

    Greg & Edouardo,

The new AS Sienna Russia calf Odell penny loafer look great. Do you know how the 109 last compares to the 99? On the AS website they look very similar with the 99 slightly narrower.

    Thanks

You should be punched in the face for even suggesting such a thing.

Thankfully no. I was productive during my lock out. I had a ton of groceries so my neighbor let me put some stuff in the refrigerator. I went to the bar up the street and had a couple martinis.

I just want to say that I fully support the definition of "productive" including the consumption of martinis.

Well to be fair, I wasn't totally productive. I sat in the stairwell, meditated for 10 minutes, did some gmat studying, made some V.I.Phone calls and then had some martinis.

Been enjoying lots of extra dirty martinis lately, shaken of course with blue cheese olives. Then I came to the realization I was getting less vodka so just dirty for me now.

What is everyone's opinion of the Stutterheim Coats?

    I personally love mine!
I have never gotten so many positive compliments on an article of clothing before.
Especially from complete strangers off the street.

    The standard comment:
"That's a sweet rain coat, where did you get that coat?

    Perfect for Raincouver weather!"

It looks like it would repel buckets of water but is it at all breathable?

Don't think so--it's rubber coated canvas. Was not designed to be technical at all.

More details and pics on Inis Meain MTO. The samples, a better shot of the color card, and shots of the special mixes. (note that the moss gansey is also a special mix, Grigio/Antracite)

It is not breathable at all.
It's rubber coated, so basically sealed on the outside.

That means any perspiration will be trapped inside the coat.
My only real negative, cause I'm a big sweater- as in buckets.

I just make sure it wear something with wool or keep it light underneath.
Otherwise the sweat and moisture can be uncomfortable.
