Need some input from you guys. One of my first and favorite NMWA purchases was this brown puppytooth suit from eidos. Think it fits really well from the front, but the way the back/shoulder hangs really bugs me. Is this something that can be altered? Just not the right fit on me? Not a big deal? Seems too much width in the back, but chest and shoulders feel good and sizing down would have been too small I think.

I defer to the experts, but IME this is fixable. Any decent tailor should be able to open up that center back seem and pull the fabric in, removing the bunching you're seeing towards the shoulders. I have done this to two of my Eidos jackets.

The one circumstance where this will not work is if the suit size is 54L or 56L, in which case I can take it off your hands for a fair price!

The symptoms here are likely a combination of the following not matching your body/posture exactly:
  • shoulder slope
  • sleeve rotation
  • front/back balance

The best possible alteration would probably require to detach the sleeves, open the shoulder seam and pin everything the way it should be for your posture (more sloped shoulder line, slight back rotation of sleeve), and reattach the sleeves.

Not sure if you have a local alteration guy who could do this and not charge you an arm and a leg.

Otherwise, I'd leave it alone TBH. Front looks very good and you're always moving, really, so the imperfections in the back are not that problematic, especially since they don't affect comfort

@jet

I got my Camoshita brown wool easy pants back from the tailor yesterday. One thing I forgot to mention when you asked about these is that the thighs are much slimmer than the camel cotton ones that were half of a casual suit from the previous season (too slim for me but I'm stuck with this now).

Then again I have stupidly thick thighs.

I'm typically a size US 10 / UK9 so obviously the Thuyas in size 9 were too big.

I ended up getting another in size 8 and the right foot fits well....but the left one feels noticably bigger. Perhaps I have asymmetric feet and I never knew? Either way I think I'll probably slap an insole in the left one and call it a day.

Everyone has a stronger foot. Typically a 1/4 size but often 1/2 size. How noticeable it feels depends on the foot shape and the last.

Of the NMWA choices for beanies, which would work best for someone with a large head? I don't know my size but its definitely on the larger size. I recall a while back here some people were comparing the fits, but could not find that section of the thread.
