I would think solid greens and browns, and I would imagine semi-subtle checked jackets would look pretty good. This pattern, such as it is, strikes me as something that will resolve to solid if paired against a more visually distinct pattern.

In Rota yes. Also got big thighs hence why I love the Manhattan, Brooklyn.
Ikiji side tabs are snug on the leg too.
I may try the easy pant since they appear to offer more room.

Ikiji sidetab pants - anyone size up 2?

My Ikiji side tab pants are a Size 3, which is a Large in Ikiji sizing and most Japanese brands IME. I was a Size Medium/32/48 in pants at the time I bought them (2018), so I sized up one as recommended and it worked great for me. I think I could've gotten away with no alterations either if I wanted to (I think I ended up shortening them a tiny bit), which is always a blessing.
