Not to detract from the IM feeding frenzy, but can some of you guys school me on easy pants, specifically limits of formality? I had an outdoor work event recently and wore a pair of the rota medium weight cotton/linen mix trousers. The Rotas performed admirably and fit well but were over matched in the heat and humidity.

Never heard of easy pants outside of that special pair some people used to have for the buffet line (*RIP). Depending on the material and cut can you wear them as business casual with button down shirts & derbys / suede boots / loafers or are they always a casual non-work / vacation option?

I'm looking for a chino / dress sub for those super hot days and / or a dress trouser that looks sharp but both airy and opaque. Are easy pants the secret to dress pants nirvana, or are these just elastic casual pants and I should just stick with fresco wools, linen mixese, crispaire etc?

If anyone of you NMWA vets want to help me with some specific pieces i'm considering I'd welcome a DM. Thanks everyone.
The answer is (unfortunately): it depends. Some easy pants are very casual (full elastic waist, no fly, visible drawstrings...) while others can work in a business casual environment (non elastic front, normal fly and closure - but elastic back or internal drawstring). The cut and fabric also play a role in how well they will look with a tucked-in shirt in a business casual environment. Regular trousers (like your Rota cotton/linen) are always a safer bet for biz cas, but some of those biz cas easy pants would work well too (Camoshita, Ikiji, for example)

Luckily, I don’t need to dress too formally for work, but I wouldn’t wear easy pants in my setting with a shirt tucked in. I do if I’m wearing a sweater over it. I think people would see either the elastic waist and/or drawstrings and find it funny.

Totally unrelated question — how do y’all hang dry clothes and prevent them from getting stiff? I find that I have to wear them a couple times after drying to get them back to how I like them.

Anyone got pics of the buttero unlined chukka? Interested to see some in the wild!

So I don't post a bunch but I feel like I should.... these unlined butteros were my first NMWA purchase...

I'm SUPER particular about shoes and had been looking for suede chukkas for a long time. Alden, Carmina, C&J, etc. were not hitting what I wanted between casual and formal. Enter Buttero. Got these on the COVID sale (unbelievable sale btw).

Shoes were so good I thought I would try a Farnese belt to complement. Bomb & better than my other belts. Sale ongoing so added Camoshita polo and Tony Guayabera. Oooooh those were good too why don't I try a norwegian rain and fujito jungle jacket? Linen valstarino? why not? slippery slope my friend. tread carefully.

I know it all too well. I started my NMWA journey at the showroom archive sale last year and now I’ve got a brand new closet of gear from 95% NMWA exclusively.
Recently dipped into pre orders and I’m losing count lol

This is such a difficult choice. For tunics, what do you guys usually wear underneath? I really like the small neck-hole on the crewneck as it hides the undershirt, so I'm curious to see what people wear. Collared shirts? Nothing at all?

if you have as many cheap white tees as I do, just cut the neck out of a few of them to wear underneath.

Need some advice regarding sizing with Castaner loafer/espadrilles

Most sneakers - 8.5
CP Achilles Low - EU 40. I sized down from EU 41 (what would be equivalent to a US 8) since CPs fit big.

Should I go with an EU 40 or 41 for the Castaner loafers? Price seems like a steal

I took my usual EU size, in your case it seems 41, they are better worn easy than fitted.

Looking for a nice scarf for winter to wear with my overcoats (rust brown and an upcoming light-mid grey)

Anyone have any experience with this one? It doesn't mention length or width either.

I need something thick and warm. The best one I have is basically just acrylic that works great.
