Was told that some - but not all - shipped from Italy this week
Don't not fear the wide lapel, especially on a dinner jacket. It's tux time. The lapels on the NMWA tux are so wide they scare me. I know the one photo of Greg looking pimptastic in the tux, but are there other pictures out there in the wild? Talk me into this (or not).
I'd prefer it to be a suit, not a blazer suit. Navy Nailhead seems too suity to me
I have a preference for regular suit features for that one as well. The nailhead could be ok as a blazer but not ideal. On the other hand, the lighter weight of the fabric + half-lining could make it a perfect all-around blue suit for the warmer months or for the areas of the country where heavier weights don't make much sense
Steveoly - if you really want it blazersuit, please email me and we'll do a single MTO. Probably will be a tad more $ but not as much as regular single MTO since we're saving on fabric costs
Do it, it is awesome. I am going to pick one up at some point or another. As long as you wear a tuxedo with some degree of frequency... I mean, you will just look so incredibly cool, I can't help but think it is worth it.
The only kicker for me is that I don't really wear Tuxedos to... classy events. Usually only Mardi Gras balls and black tie weddings. So at least for me, I have been reticent just because I know that at any of those events, I usually immediately drop my tux off at the dry cleaner. Normally I have a few drinks spilled on me (not my own, I am rather tidy), and my date usually ends up with my jacket. Which sometimes ends up on a chair. Which other people sit on, etc.
In short, I am kind of in the air. On one hand, I would love a SF tux for my own wedding(s), or more controlled events. I have a well fitting tux that does the job right now, but man, those lapels are just great.
