I wouldn't worry about trying to shove "in-depth" photos and videos here, to be honest. Again, using TOJ as an example, Drew didn't bother with all that. The end product should speak for itself, and the customer feedback will confirm or dispute that. You just gotta get your customer feedback more widely spread. They will be all the marketing you need for now.

I think once we get the new website up, maybe I'll suggest giving away a couple of jackets in some manner, in exchange for some unbiased feedback. Since I focused on the frugal aspect a lot, before, I'm sure like you, most of this community never heard of us until now. So, maybe it'll be worth giving some out and letting you guys touch and feel and wear them!

hey followed the convos from the leather jacket threak etc. i'll offer a couple of thoughts:

imo, and broadly speaking, there are two types of leather garments

the first includes garments that emerge as a response to the material itself. traditional flight, moto jackets, yet undiscovered patterns, etc.

the second includes everything else that *can* or *might* be rendered in leather, even though the essential design did not emerge from this material. for instance a type 2 trucker.

i'll suggest here that your material of choice (aniline, weather-resistant, lighter weight) leans more toward the second, to me that is a fine approach and very expansive in terms of product. imagine for instance a duffel coat rendered in your tonal dye material. functional, recognizable, but unique. i'm just squeezing the balloon here.

all the best.

Hey there! Thank you for your advice and insights! I appreciate it!

We have been experimenting with leather "puffer" jacket style and even just recently, I had a discussion with our supplier about "denim leather". Not the official name but basically leather that would be ideal for a type 2 tucker example that you gave! So, what you are saying totally makes sense and we are in the process of going down that path.

I am imagining the Duffle Coat and am loving that! I think that is something we can definitely work on and I appreciate that example!

I was wondering what your thoughts were about taking this a step further and even getting into leather tees, henleys etc? Although our focus first and foremost is jackets, I always felt that the leather we used would be good for such things as well and I think it's one of those things that if done well, would be something quite unique and cool.
