Thanks Patrick!

They are probably the cheapest shoes I've bought this year. (I did spend hours and hours working on the finish) But that's hobby time. I rather like having shoes to 'play with'.

what is "strictly street wear"

my winter, work get up.

super non SF approved jeans, half zip sweater, red wing boots and white athletic socks. or really chunky wool socks when it gets really cold. nothing i am particularly proud of.

The east coast folks get to wear all the best winter clothes because they have the weather for it. If I can work some of it into my wardrobe without looking ridiculous, I try.

conservative business dress Monday (or about at conservative business dress as I get.)
Shooz - G&G Grants on the TG73 - Vintage Oak
Socks - Geoffry Beene cheapies from the dept store.
Trousers - I'm not telling, cuz you'd laugh :)

Uncle Mac - Keep the good work! Thinking I might order some Aldens this week.
JhCam8 - Your new St. C boots need to be reposted in the Shoe Appreciation Thread! They are too great to get lost in the shuffle of 'The Great Gemming Debate'. Your shoes today look swell with your rug. Which, by the way, is quite a great rug - Caucusus region?
Howie - I like how you combine gray and orange, and the way your shoes have an orangish tone to them which makes the socks seem less jarring. The socks are too bright for my personal taste - but to me you have used them well.

:fonz: for the rug. Trousers: I wear alot of JCrew off-the-rack; yours can't be much worse. :embar:
A very nice turnout, G.

My rug is a contemporary Persian Sumak, thanks.
