Has anyone ever sent fabric to Luxire to have them make a shirt? I found some heavyweight 60'' tartan fabric I wanted to make into a shirt. Not sure if Luxire does this, but just wanted to ask.

Black Maroon Tattersall Madras

Is this mine? Looks like it, what with the BD collar, shoulder epaulettes & chest pockets. I hope your model didn't get any fruit juice on it!!

Looks good, can't wait to get my own grubby little mitts on it.

+1, but please a universal tartan, so not one that's affiliated with any clans or families.

Is the swatch I provided affiliated with any clans or families, as far as you know? I live in the US and am pretty much oblivious to any potential issues there. These were actually an old pair I got from Epaulet that I had to sell because they no longer fit me. I figured Luxire was my best bet to get an MTM replacement, unless Epaulet does another similar MTO in the future.

They'll do that. kulata posted a shirt made with fabric he sent in a few posts back, although I don't know the pricing details.

Was supposed to be yours, but had to be remade. This was then altered for the model.

Sad such questions have to be asked.

Luxire, any chance you can source a tartan flannel trouser fabric like the below?

In wool? Will need to find.

I think our cotton flannel fabrics are heavy enough for pants too, if you like something there.

No idea, but I'll have a look in the tartan registry. It's not 'allowed' to wear a family tartan if you have no connection. You'll be fine in the US, but in the UK it's seen as a little disrespectful. There are certain universal tartans that everyone is allowed to wear though.

Edit: Just checked, this tartan is not registered, so you're free to use it. It's quite easy to search by colour if you'd ever like to check a tartan: http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/search.aspx

Wool flannel would be ideal. I can always try CMT if you're not able to source anything, although I'm not sure where I can find this either.

Very interesting, thanks for the info! You're right, nobody in the US would ever notice, but I still think it's cool to know.

Heya Luxire, do you have anything in a dark chocolate for pants? I see some browns and chocolate on the site but would like your (or any members who might have a fabrics)opinion to try and get the right colour.
