If one must dress as a doctor, Who is not a terrible option. Holliday is also in the running.

Thanks for the advice. The tummy is no problem, it is very flat.

I would think that a flat tummy would be the biggest problem when converting to a popover, particularly a fitted shirt: how to get a shirt made for a 32" waist over one's shoulders and a 38+ chest.

That is a challenge often. Technically, it can be done and is often done.

But, the curve, caused by a wide chest, narrow waist and then a wide hip creates some ripples, usually seen going from waist towards chest and hips.

Just the one seam on the side is not enough for so much suppression. It can be a good idea to a patch at the side seam and use the 2 seams for dividing the curve. Plus darts at the back are helpful too.

Even more of a challenge with shirts for shorter people.
