Overall I'm quite happy how the shirts turned out, my only point of criticism is the shirring at the shoulders. It's quite different between left and right shoulder.






The reason are the different yoke heights to cover a sloping right shoulder. Since the shirring is only done over the joint of yoke and sleeve and one yoke is about 0.5 inch lower, but the fabric addition seems the same at both sides, the sewer had to process the same amount of fabric over a shorter distance. Therefore the shirring is more significant at the right side. Probably I'll bring the shirts to my alteration shop, have them opening parts of both shoulder seams and spread the fabric over a longer part of the seem and skip the shirring at future shirts.

I still can't decide if I love or hate the color. From a distance it looks almost nude or pink. I'll watch if/how the color is changeing over the washcycles and maybe give it a weak red overdye.

I ordered the former and it should hopefully arrive next week. I'll take pictures when I get it. Also with that order is a sample of the latter, I can try and put up a picture of that as well if I receive it.

I measured a bespoke shirt myself, including a custom collar, the details of which I wrote the additional info section. I also uploaded a photo of the collar to illustrate its measurements, in case they were unclear due to my not explaining myself well. They did it right.

Yeah I guess I can see that being the case. It looks really nice in the closeups, but if it looks nude or pink from far away then that kinda sucks

Have they actually charged your credit card yet (or PayPal, or whatever method of payment you used)? Usually you place the order, then they don't charge you until they actually start work on the garment. Then when construction is complete, they will send you a shipping notification.

I'd give it a few more days. It could take maybe 7-10 days from the time they debit your PayPal before you hear anything else. Once the order is ready to ship they'll send you a tracking number.

I don't keep too much track of this thread, but every time I pop in it seems like people are sweating turnaround times. It reminds me of my first year or so lurking on the forum. There was a guy (forget the member) who posted with (seemingly) genuine surprise that a large shipment of odd jackets, pants and suits showed up to his office one day. While initially he was puzzled, he then remembered picking out the fabrics and having the fittings done months prior. In short, he had more important things to do than worry about thousands of dollars of custom clothing.

By watching the pot y'all are outing yourselves as small-tymers; a scarlet letter in these parts.

I think there's more sweating about the communication more than anything. Some complaints here I think are more about that than the waiting, even if it seems otherwise. Email communication is spotty.
