hey guys, I registered just so that i can ask this question. I love the fit of the 514 raws, but I think it's time for me to take a step up quality-wise. What pair of Nudies have the same type of fit as these Raw 514s? Thanks in advance

Something in between the Straight Sven and the Slim Jim, I'd say. Probably closer to the Svens. I haven't tried on the new Average Joe, but that might be a bit similar, as well.

The Jims are a little slimmer than the 514s, IIRC. The Svens are very similar all the way throughout the leg, but I'm not sure quite how the top block compares. I want to say that the Svens are just a *touch* higher rise than the 514s, though.

I think you're right... the greatest difference is going to be in the back part of the top block, with the pocket placement and all that.

The macy's link is talking about the ugly non-raw washes. The rigid scraped is 100% cotton.

I'd forgotten I have these jeans, I stopped wearing them since I've been trying to break in my matchsticks...

So the 2nd link is 100% cotton. So you have to choose Tumbled Rigid to get the RAW one, right?

by the way, Levi's raw denim is "tumbled for softness," so if you want that authentic, uncomfortable, stiff raw denim feeling, you'll have to cold soak them before you wear them. That should also help with the honeycombs, whiskers, etc...

I see. So did Levis/Macy's remove the "rigid scraped" color (that was discussed in this thread) on their 100% cotton RAW 514's?

What are the difference(s) between "Rigid Scraped" and "Tumbled Rigid"?

yeah, it could be sold out by now. rigid, raw and unwashed are all the same thing. tumbled rigid means they put the jeans in a tumbler to soften them up so they wouldn't be so stiff when you first put them on. rigid scraped is a finish that is distressed (ie frayed at the bottom and around the pockets).
