if a WAYWRN superstar would have been wearing that, it would be fawned over in the WAYWRN, but the same guys are going to rip it to **** just because some guy in the fashion world is doing it.
This is from Umit Benan; it's pretty funky and bizarre, and the reason for that (for better or worse) is that the inspiration was the idea of the sort of eccentrics that Patrick Bateman and his ilk would never allow in their firm. Basically, they wanted items with details done "incorrectly" or bizarrely. For example, most of those patterns are prints. Make of that what you will.
If you have to explain why you're dressed the way you are (inspiration or otherwise), you're doing something wrong.
