Yeah I think you can get that at Walmart. The lululemon pacific beach hoodie looks all right, though. But I will say, I strongly prefer the Geller over "random pocket" and "mr. zippers".

+1. Look at Japanese hoodies if you can fit into them. Many of the designs are far less bland looking and higher quality than what's commonly available in the US.

Unfortunately there is very little room in the US marketplace for higher end sub-casual clothing. Additionally there is a strong attitude in the US that men's clothing should look somewhat bland. Wearing more attention getting clothing carries with it risks that most men find unacceptable. Either it looks like you care too much about fashion or it might make you look too sexy-- both attributes that mainstream society largely feels are reserved for the feminine.

There is such a deep fear among men that displaying these stereotyped feminine traits somehow makes you gay or unmanly. Anyone whom denies they share this fear somewhat is not being entirely honest with themselves. Otherwise we wouldn't always hear talk on this forum about how you have to sag jeans to avoid looking like a girl, etc.

Geller seems very cognizant of this idea in his work. I even recall reading an interview where he freely offered up (without being asked) that his clothing is the type of stuff that would have caused him to get his ass kicked back in high school.

Wish I knew more about Japanese hoodies. Mr. Olive is a safe bet?

I'm not afraid of looking gay or anything, I just like a more minimalist aesthetic. Trust me, even in raw denim, gingham shirt and oxfords I stand out among most guys where I live.

Mine was only $100 and its holding up very well.

Glad to hear that you have had a great experience with it. I almost bought one but the sizing is a little small... I'm 6'5" so they won't be long enough. I'll hold out for one of the lululemon ones.

^not sure I can get behind those two. Just a bit too much going on for a hoodie for my taste. I know BB1 has recommended Attachment hoodies in the past, and I'd second that. Got this one a few days ago and love it. Pretty simple, but with enough detail to make it stand out beyond your typical cheap hoodie.
