Personally, I don't think those boots with skinny jeans works - I can see where it would look clownish. As an aside, these boot are work boots, retro stylish though they are. Skinny jeans are on the opposite side of they style spectum (though can look great otherwise) and don't quite properly click together, IMHO. Slim jeans are a different story though.

In this picture, the left foot is 9, right foot is 8.5.

Jeez, I reckon the one on the left looks a bit off. I think they need a bit more edge. I actually need a bit of a bumper to protect the boot, but I also think it looks better and balances the boot better (by balance I mean looks-wise).

A 6" leg opening is ridiculous. If you're 125+ pounds you seriously need to reconsider your jeans options. Slim is always the way to go. Skinny only works on skinny people.

And to answer your question, yes they'd look horrible.

I picked up a pair.

Not sure I like them, the sizing seems off.
I'd say they feel like they run a half-size big.

Are there any LL Bean items that really stand out (not just signature) I'm ordering the boots that everyone is raving about and since I get a $10 gift card from it I want to buy something with it in addition to using that 20% off coupon that they have right now.

i treated my boots to Sno Seal per Crane's tutorial in his thread, and I've gotta say I love the way they turned out. It definitely darkened the leather but I think it looks much better. Not at all a muddy color as another guy said, but a deep chocolate brown.
