thoughts?

They look great. I picked up a pair, but returned them. They were much bigger on me, called customer service in hopes that there was a size 30 waist @ the Men's Store, but no dice.

i just took mine back, too. great denim. the fit was close, but the bottom of the leg was too loose for my liking. really odd that j crew, being the champion of slim fitting jeans they are, didn't go lower than 32 with these.

i wish they put a fit pic on the website to show what their interpretation of them is.

Clarks DBs are a great option. They make a dozen different colors.
A few of them will work with deep root.

I spent $98 on the vintage slim like 6 months ago since they didn't carry 484 instores.. I don't like them since they are too baggy in the seat and too high.. now they carry 484 amd I love them. I luckily got a new pair for 12.99. but if any one 30x30 wants to buy pair of vintage slim in a medium dark wash send me a pm they are just to high for a short stubby guy like me a d it's a waste of my money to have them sit around..

may be the same deal they had w/ the WH sweatshirts, of which they only had mediums. definitely odd that they've got so many larger waist sizes though.

yeah i can't imagine how big a 34+ would be and can't really see that fitting their target audience at all...

J Crew has been everywhere the past few years. Wish I had bought some stock after the Obamas wore it at the inauguration.

They actually revised expectations downward recently.

I don't mean to turn this towards S/S '10, but are there good sales in the B&M stores too? I like a bunch of items online (lots of shorts, some shirts - stocking up for my honeymoon this fall), but most of it is out in my size.

people can bag on j. crew all they want, but they have some of the most outstanding customer service. i just recently ordered two sale items, and less than 24 hours later they had marked them down (and the sizes i ordered were still available). one email to them and they adjusted the price for me.

yeah they do have good customer service but it doesn't justify increasing the cost of shipping simply because an item costs more, regardless of the actual size of the order

things like that just come across as greedy to me, sorry
