Is going sockless the gelding of men's fashion

I wear shorts a fair amount and have looked for ways of improving the look. SF seems to advocate a loafer sockless look, and also the wearing of pants and dress shoes sockless. I frequently survey the population when I am out and about, and out of 500+ men in shorts, none have been in loafers. It looks simply wrong to me. Similarly pictures of men in slacks and leather shoes sin socks is an affront to nature , IMO. I think what bothers me is that this is a distinctly female style. Women are always wearing nice leather shoes without socks, and it looks great. So why this push to feminize mens fashion? Your thoughts?

its just a prep look for guys. Don't think feminine is the right description for the look

An adult male probably shouldn't be wearing shorts unless he is on the beach.

I do this often. Don't think masculine or feminine is a proper way to try and describe it. I do it because I feel like it is a better description, for me at least.

I go as far as sockettes on dress or dress/casual but never sockless.
Whatever others do is fine by me but I will never practice it.
I'll only do sockless in deck shoes & sandals.

Not a fan at all. At the very least, put on the "low profile" socks that aren't visible.

Good thought, but ForaFlavor would require Ovadafut or Viccel. - B
