Troegs Java Head

Very creamy, long lasting bitter aftertaste, drink fairly warm, or you will taste nothing and it will smell like nothing. Very nice if you like coffee stout.

Does your sig mean to read biography? Otherwise, I'm confused.

Amazing. The flavors are so well melded together. Of course the peat is impressive, but I wouldn't even say that it is front-and-center. The sweetness, brine and peat all work well off of each other. I taste a little leather, tobacco and saltiness. Overall, I'd emphasize balance and power. Delicious.

Nice notes. Its a phenomenal scotch, well worth the price.

Great Lakes Commodore Perry

It's an average IPA hiding under cloying syrup.

Yes, it was. I was so embarassed that I deleted the whole thing.

Tonight I made some of the SF infamous Vanilla/Orange bourbon. I decided to use Buffalo Trace, which is probably already complicated enough without additions. I hope it turns out alright. If it doesn't, oh well.

Meh, it's good, but of the Hudson, I prefer the Four Grain. That said, this is a very intensely flavored bourbon, and I'll absolutely have a glass from time to time to remind myself of why I keep it around, but definitely not a daily drinker.

I've only had it at a tasting, never bought a bottle. I'll put it on the list though... I have the Four Grain and the Single Malt open now. The Single Malt is really interesting. It tastes like the forest almost, very piney. Unlike any Scottish single malt I've had.

Very interesting, I think you've just convinced me to add the single malt to my list..
