Because they get more wimminz (duh). Seriously though, PT can make decent money and they have regular hours.

If you are really concerned about lifestyle, aim for the ROAD to Happiness.

Radiology
Ophthamology
Anesthesiology
Dermatology

Maybe even add on Emergency Medicine (shift work, good pay). Downside is that it can be very stressful.

You are 100% certain to be crawling with the same amount of staph bacteria at this very moment. The only difference is that her staph may be resistant to most penicillin-type antibiotics. Is that enough to pass on a hot chick? If so you might want to start dating psychologists.

You did notice I specified MRSA, right? I'm well aware of one's natural flora and fauna. Her MRSA is probably colonized also, usually in the nares. There's been a huge uptick in c-diff the last few years, so that's gonna be a big turn off for anal.

However, it's the typical nurses' personal traits that tend to put me off.

Nurses are nice and friendly. What you got against them?

Nothing per se. Just years and years of dealing with them, in various professional capacities.

not true anymore. Derm and Opth are going through very drastic changes due to the economy. Anes. and Radio are still doing okay. ROAD residencies are competitive and highly selective but most people who went this route are stupid to believe that these jobs provide easy money for easy work. Now that money isn't easy, the work is getting harder to find. It's sad that some of the brightest doctors spend their days treating acne.

None of those usually require being on call though, and two of them don't even require you to talk much to patients. Anes. and Rad are both hospital based too, so no heavy investment on the part of the doc.

They get no respect from surgeons though. They are just highly specialized technicians/assistants.

No one gets respect from surgeons. Hell, other surgeons don't get respect from surgeons.

I can't think of a more inappropriate profession than for a man to be a nurse.
