I'm imagining the whole lot going about taking notes and making scathing aesthetic judgements. Were this the 19th century, I think they'd hae quizzing glasses in hand.

It sounds like fun actually.

Manton, do you want to go?

Judge Bork was a professor of mine in Law School-- I have to admit, while I was, and still am, utterly opposed to his moral and political stance on almost every conceivable issue, he was engaging, personable, funny, and well spoken.

Lunch with him?-- yes. Cruise? ...uh...nope.

It would be weird to be cruised by Bork. Or were you talking about lunching with Tom Cruise? What's the difference, really...

You paying?

You guys laugh, and I suppose it is sort of funny, but little non-profit mags like this -- left, right and center -- depend on these cruises for revenue.

Actually, we could go together. Show them how to dress for dinner.

Certainly, the prices seem fairly reasonable although I daresay the venuse is slightly cheesy for the magazine.

I would suggest taking up a collections in order to make this happen, but you don't seem like you need or would even accept such a thing.

Dinner with LabelKing and Manton or party at JLibourel's would be excellent events though.

This would be the next seminal SF meetup.

I was a little dissapointed to see it wasn't for the Criterion Collection as I had assumed at first, but I still think I'd enjoy it immensely.

I've actually been on cruises, and I can say this with absolute certainty: you would be appalled at the way people dress. I fear that you would jump overboard, and the weight of your watch, chain and fob would take you straight to the bottom.
