If you find an EG last that fits you, what about just doing a MTO Dover? I could see that working with your wardrobe.

Give you advice? On shoes? I can advise you on thermodynamics while I'm at it.

I'd ask you tell me more about your JLP experience, but it will only make me envious of what I won't pay for.

I suspect if you go for the shoes from England and do not travel to London it will end up as a 32nd birthday present!

A captoe is more fun than the Dover? Nuts! Kidding, of course, as anything bespoke can be potentially more fun.

Hermes does not craft men's bespoke shoes (don't they own Lobb Paris?)? After your wonderful experience the first time around, I would think this the obvious choice.

If you're considering the Italians, Paolo Scafora travels to NYC 5-6 times a year. I just had my fitting shoes a few weeks back:my pictorial here.

If you like Leicas just get a Panasonic and a very, very good lens - they are near identical outside the swanky Leica body.
