Where to get (truly) bespoke trainers?

Hi there.

I come here to see if anyone got advice on where I can find properly bespoke trainers/sneakers. I'll give a bit of background first.

I've always been into streetwear, and although I have refined my style over the years, I have a hard time giving up on wearing trainers. I have pairs of Oxfords and Monks but I wear them much less often. A couple of years back I reached out to an artisan and got a pair of bespoke trainers made. When I say bespoke I mean the full shebang: I got a last made to my measurements, and I had the freedom to choose materials and design details.

Recently I bought a pair of trainers off the rack on an impulse buy, and I couldn't believe how uncomfortable they are. I didn't appreciate it, but the bespoke fit feels like heaven compared. This has taught me that probably I can't go back off the rack again.

Although I ordered more shoes from this shoemaker the lead time is very long and honestly, I'm not sure how much more they will stay in business. I'm also curious about trying different things and diversifying my sources.

The problem is that when I search for bespoke trainers/sneakers only I get mostly junk. Most ads are 'customized' shoes in one form or another, or from dubious sources.

So my question is if anyone can recommend someone who makes proper bespoke trainers. I'm also curious about people's experience commissioning bespoke trainers from the more traditional British houses. Is this something they are open to? How has the result been?

Thanks!
