Nah, people's been saying this for a decade now. The Jacobs & Co. colorful hypebeast watches are gone and Panerai & Breitling are still going strong. Most watch companies are also making bigger cases now, take IWC for example, their average seems be to be going 44mm or more these days. I am actually pretty pissed because the new Portuguese Handwounds case is too big (44mm) and it is such a beautiful watch. They started to produce more too and would have been much easier to purchase than last years version.

If I can have 1 watch for the rest of my life, this will most likely be it. The 5001 is my dream watch but it is slightly bigger and a lot thicker than the 3714. the 3714 is also the only watch I wouldn't mind having all the different variations and in different colors. If you can fidn out, I'd check out the Portuguese Pure Classic, it's limited but it is closer to 3714 size (thinner too iirc) and just a gorgeous watch.

How are you liking this. Im thinking I'll either pick up the sinn 556 or this in a few months. For a while there I was going to go with the sinn 656, but something about the dial was throwing me off.

speaking of the Sinn 656, I got one this year as a gift and didn't see it yet in this thread. it came with both the leather and the metal band, and wanted to see what other people's thoughts were regarding which one to wear. Maybe when I get bored with the steel bracelet I'll switch it up.

Right now I would consider something under $100. There isn't really any reason for me to have an expensive watch, not right now anyways.

For less than $100, choices are very slim. Check out Seiko 5, those will probably be the best bang for your buck. Other than that, just get some basic Timex and get an Easy Reader.

I think the sinn looks best on the bracelet or a nato.
