i absolutely love the 3714 but have always held off buying because i feel it doesnt quite go with the kind of stuff i wear at the moment- jeans/moto leathers etc. does it really work with streetwear?

Depends what type of streetwear really. A simple knit & leather jacket with dark jeans and boots and I think it works. Same with simple trousers and blazer, it can work. Workwear and Goth Ninja... probably not.
