Here's a fit pic of the BoO parka:

I like this season's parkas from BoO, but I would say that they definitely aren't worth their price of around $1500. I would consider them if they go on sale at above half of the retail price.

Holy crap. A small has a 47" chest!?

Would you say you need to size down two sizes?

My requirements of a good parka:
- Not too bulky so I don't look like an actual goose walking around.
- having an adjustable hood so it wouldn't cover my eyes.
- I'm not a fan of the quilted "bubble" look on my jackets.
- Has to be water proof / windproof (what good is an outdoor jacket without that?)

Solution:
Eddie Bauer Superior Down Parka $162

Got it on a 40% off black friday sale and it's been great so far. Regular price is only $250. Stood and waited for the bus for 20 minutes in windy 16 degree weather up here in Boston. I stayed nice and toasty warm. It's actually versatile enough for 30 degree days as well. I just have to find a different velcro patch for the arm....

Got the LL Bean Allagash for Christmas. Sized Down one (M). Its less puffy than I expected, so I wouldn't say its bulky at all (for a puffer winter coat). Its pretty warm and the construction quality seems good, so I'm pleased with the gift.

I guess yall like going for a stroll when its really cold outside or do none of you own vehicles? Up here in canada I rarely see people wear heavy parka coats like that...only the broke, "carless" ones usually do..and it gets really fuggin cold, down to -50C with windchill in January.

i live in montreal and loads of people walk/take public transit and i see like 100 canada goose jackets a day. i guess poor people really love $600 parkas
