I posted this in the streetwear section as well but would like some more opinions here:

I'm trying to decide which jacket fits the best. I have a 36R and a 38S.

36R:

38S:

I feel like the 36 is better in the shoulders but I think it is too long. Not sure how I feel about the shoulders on the 38, but I do like the length.

Thanks for any replies

I can see the pictures. If you look at the first picture of each group where you are facing the camera, it looks like the 36R fits better. However, the side and back pictures of the 36R shows that it's clearly too tight in a few spots. The 38S looks a tad too big, but a tailor could nip that here and there. It will be more difficult to let out the 36R to fit you. The sleeves look like they need to be rotated, and the shoulders look too narrow. FWIW, I think the 36R is the better length, but it's hard to get an exact feel for the proportions without your entire body visible.

the skirt on the 38 is far too short. The 36r is good - obviously the sleeves need to be shortened.

The 36 needs is far too tight at certain points, look at the profile and rear image to see some HORRIBLE bunching. I think this is accentuated (especially in the profile shot) by the ventless jacket. BTW, is the jacket from Express????

you should get a 36S.

Or you can just take that 36R and take it to a tailor and get the sleeves shortened.

If it were up to me, I'd get the waist/torso area taken in to to give you more shape.

The jacket is not ventless, I just left the center vent sewn so I can return the one I'm not going to keep.

No, it is not from Express.

It might fit a bit better once you open the vent. But i'd say go for the 36.

the 38 looks too wide in your shoulders, you can see that the suit sticks out an inch or so beyond the corner of your shoulder.

If that's the case, the rear might fit better with the vent unlocked so to speak, just have to hope that you don't get any kind of ridiculous skirt flair. Just get the 36r and shorten the sleeves. Done.

BR? I know I've seen that tag somewhere...
