What is the SF consensus on hidden button-down collars?

I remember seeing this style quite a bit in the '90s but I still see the occasional one every now and then. I'm not a fan of the hidden button-down personally but I just want to know what others here think about it. Thanks.

Sport shirts only for me. Keeps the "flaps" down. I don't think it has a place on dress shirts.

I have a few shirts like this. Button-downs are fiddly and hidden button-downs are even more fiddly. I have to do the buttons before putting on the shirt so I never wear or would wear a tie with this type of collar. That aside, they are ok. Not something I reach for often on my rack, but once in awhile I enjoy them if I want uncluttered collar points on a bd. I wear only casual.

I have a Truzzi shirt with them and really like it to be honest - it keeps everything in place without being visible. Plus it gives my wife something to do when I'm getting dressed :)

When they are done properly they are great for casual/sport shirts. I like them. But poorly constructed ones become noticable once they come back from the cleaners or ironed.

I prefer them over the standard button down.

Also, I will wear one if in a pinch and am out of dress shirts.
