Actually, a couple nice splashes of fish sauce went into it for the umami.

Penne pasta with a slow, gave it four hours on low heat, roasted tomato sauce with S&P and EVO then put through the mouli. Served served with shaved parmesan, simplicity on a plate. Washed down with a Squealing Pig Central Otago Pinot Noir 2014.

Ottolenghi's eggplant and paneer curry in a tomato and coconut sauce. Served on a bed of Basmati rice with cucumber raita and papadums.

Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls.

Coriander and Vietnamese mint, grilled steps of chicken breast, marinated tofu, Chinese omelet, carrot, cucumber, asparagus. With pickled ginger and sweat chilli sauce.

Summer has at last arrived.
