Red Ale at Mr. Grumpy Pants Brewery in Ouray, CO (this is the best I’ve had for a while). The brewery is a block from our friends’ rental house that we’re staying in tonight.

Catching some <>Diamond Hands late tonight.

This is the best rum I’ve ever had, and I think maybe the best spirit I’ve ever had. The nose is an immense Starbucks caramel macchiato syrup, the palate lives up to the nose. So intense it just dulls and overtakes anything else you drink afterwards. I’m outside sitting a few feet away and it’s just filling the air with deliciousness. Damn.

The C<>H was a unique bottling for Baytowne Wine & Spirits here in Rochester. I think they have 15 or so bottles left, but you gotta call and ask for it.

Definitely not funky in that overripe fruit way some Jamaicans are. This is a crazy ester bomb. C<>H is Hampden's 2nd highest ester marque (https://cocktailwonk.com/rum-marques). This is at like 1300-1400 Esters gr/hL, whereas that ITP Jamaican would only be in the range of 90-120. Pretty much smells and tastes like an intense spicy version of starbuck's caramel macchiato syrup.
