@mhip Gathered from your previous post you might be located in SD. I’m in Coronado and visit the original one there most often. We surf in IB and hike the Estuary a lot, so usually get our tacos in at Hess Biergarten across the street, though I prefer CBC’s beers to Hess’ tho CBC does make good fish tacos! Anyway, safely ensconced in our Smokey Mts. Chattahoochie cabin. Coupla’ beers from my favorite GA brewery... Ready for tubing and rafting!

I'm up in OC, but my sister works for State Parks and lives on the State lot on Silver Strand, right next to the resort.
I try to head down there as much as possible. I do a beach hike to CBC ( about 3 miles each way ) every time I'm there.
My other favorite place is Salud, in Barrio Logan. Right near the base of the bridge on the other side.

Far out. One of my better friend’s dad was the long-time Captain on the Strand and grew up in the cottage there. I grew up with the CBC brothers myself, though older than me. Next time try the tacos across the street at Hess. They have a $12 32oz growler (gremlin?), which comes filled with any beer. From that point on you can fill it with any beer at any of their locations for just $5. Would probably stoke your sister out to hold that for you! The tacos at Hess are more of a fancy TJ street taco style, which my wife and kids dig. We eat at CBC Coronado plenty as well.

Domt mean to derail the thread, so here’s this... switched to Tanqueray and tonic, which was what my parents left in the cabin and is doing me fine.

I'll check it out. I have a big Hess glass here at home.
Pay a visit to Salud. They have the locals on tap, but the thing they're known for is breakfast tacos. Have to get there before noon to get them, and there's usually a line out the door, with a large portion of them being US Navy's finest.
