More catching up. Almost there...

Staying on the Valentine's Day theme, this is what I wore Saturday for a lovely evening out with an even lovelier woman. It was also a rare opportunity for me to wear a suit. Happy Love Day, y'all!

Frickin' cold here today, so some extra layering with a sweater is a must....

I posted this yesterday in the Noodle's thread, so while I'm here!

Wind chill down to -12F so layering is the order of the day.

Good day gentlemen

Featuring my signature SmuGrin

.

Vintage suit from the 1940´s. Price $12:50. (The fact is, I bought two almost identical suits for $25)

A day of Shrove Tuesday choir rehearsals.
With gratitude to @sugarbush for the splendid tie.

I like Sander's suit/shoe combo. But I might be twisted in this. A bright suit like that works with contrast.

Yesterday's SF Family:
Yount (tie)
ET (square)
Unipair (shoes)

Today's SF Family:
Henry Carter (tie)
Meermin (shoes)

People's Choice: spandexter (58)
This was a superb batch, gentlemen. I find it impossible to award the usual Jury prizes. Choosing one, would be denying another. So, a collective prize for all this time!

The first Spandexter is the clear CJP winner, IMO.

An excellent batch.

@Spandexter gets my vote. For about 2 years I tried to do what he did in that post.

Thanks CM. It's actually pretty rare that I can wear that type of stuff as my office is pretty conservative business dress. Most days consist of suits, blue/white shirts and neats so it's nice to be able to mix it up a little. I appreciate the vote!

Still catching up with another stellar batch. Featuring our famous duo Cleav & Crust!

Couldn't be bothered with a tie today...

It's snowing worse today than it was a day and a half ago. Suddenly these three layers seem woefully inadequate.

Dressing down the suit. Take 1:

Mrs. Clags: That shirt is too formal for the suit and tie
Me: I'm aware, but I'm proud of you for recognizing that.
Mrs. Clags: Will you change?
Me: No.

Today, and what a day, an excellent lunch with the inimitable Upr at La Petite Maison, London

Fabulous food and fabulous company

and in better light earlier today...

New jacket. Trying out a tie. Need to find a better PS. there is some purple in the jacket pattern.

Every time that someone says "Robo Pose" I always wonder, is this a "Robo Pose"?

I don't wear this absolutely awesome Vanda cashmere tie nearly enough..... that must change!

People's Choice: Cleav & upr_crust (62)
Elio's Jury Prize: caustic man
Clag's Jury Prize: Adolesco
Honourable Mention: roycru for the ultimate robo-pose!

Ok, catching up work is done now. Have a nice weekend y'all!

Goddamnit Braddock! You're posting that awesome green suit right in before I'm posting

Anyway... Dressing down the suit. Take 2:

Edit: Not sure why I wasn't smiling today.

Photographed by the staff photographer at Liberty, one of the many menswear shows in Las Vegas this week along with MAGIC, Project and others. Wearing a Ring Jacket suit ordered from the Khaki's of Carmel trunk show in San Francisco and measured by Mr Sasamoto of Ring Jacket. The fabric is a navy wool twill by Loro Piana. Tie EG Cappelli and shoes John Lobb Wallace.

Autofocus was being a dick today

I if only could own one tie, it would be this one. Works with just about anything, and ties a superb knot..

Thanks for the thumbs last time, guys. I really appreciate it! Here is today's tweedy attire. The temperature currently sits at -4F so there will be several more layers on top of this before I go out.

New haircut: The Otter is dead!

Crosspost from FC:

Today I hosted a competition at the Club. As Captain I had to send everyone off and join the field as last out, we came third. It was bitterly cold in the end, bitterly cold, wet, windy, snowy! NVMD.

Beautiful light this morning, so I'm going to bore you with a few more pseudo-contemplative shots:

Today, tweed

This might not get too much love around here, but should hopefully at least a thumb from @patrickBOOTH

out of sight, black calf cap toes

People's Choice: EliodA (44)
Elio's Jury Prize: pocketsquareguy, excellent fit, great photo!
Clag's Jury Prize: errr, well, Claghorn of course...

I'd nominate myself for the CJP, but the win would either go to rickytt or Braddock.
