Hi Community, wondering - has anyone ever had occasion to replace Vis heel stabilisers? The ones on my '73 folks are cracked and breaking off, and my local cobbler is saying there is nothing he can do. I have scoured the intenet but not turned anything up on how to get hold of something similar. I am assuming it won't be Visvim branded, but I can live with that. Any leads? I am based in Europe (France) right now, but willing to use the post (but preferably within Europe) if needed. Do we know which company makes them for Vis? Thanks all.

contacting vis is your best (only) option really. but if you go for a full resole, just ditch them.

Thanks @Emixam. Looks like I wear them distressed for a while, then ditch the TPU's after a while! Visvim is for life, right (but, at a cost!). Cheers.

Styleforum sanity check - am I crazy in preferring the clean lines of the Nomad 2.5L Goretex jacket over the PFD 2.5L Goretex, which definitely does have a cool hood arrangement. Struggling to decide which to pick up. Both second hand, old season. The PFD from 2016 and I suspect the Nomad from earlier, maybe 2010/11/12. Is there a consensus on which is the "best" Visvim Goretex jacket ... thanks comrades.

it's just styling at this point since both are 2.5L shell parkas, personally I prefer having the stowable hood on the pfd, both integrate the old school iris liner as well.

the "better" goretex jackets are the oglala, totem or hadrian all of which are 3L. the extra lining does make it more durable and weather resistant.
