Did you deep cleaned them? On my pair the veins are much darker, maybe I'll try a deep clean to get the same look as your pair.
Don’t remember. I probably used saddle soap and then Bick4.

Happy Thursday forum pals. After 3 days of rain it is time for some nicer shoes.

If people won't give you attention, you gotta create your own.
Amen… I didn’t spend a fortune on shoes (good luck paying for college, kids!) for no one to notice!

Canadian-made (by John McHale, I think) Florsheims today. I’ve been on a Canadian kick. @suitforcourt said that, by Royal decree, 4+ pairs of Canadian-made shoes makes by an honorary Citizen. I’m way over that number…

Guys,

The Churchs suede oxfords I bought a while back (see my previous posts) are squeaking like mad. The noise seems to come from the heel. Its a if I'm stepping on very rough pavement, or on very glass shards. I cant remember if they were like this when I tried them on at the shop. There was one day I walked about 10-15km in them, maybe that did it? The soles and the shoe itself looked nearly brand new when I got them. Could this be a shank issue? Or gluing some topy on the heel would fix it?

Try the following:

1. Conditioner inside the heel area. It might be an interior issue;

2. Take a hammer and lightly tap on the heel;

3. If above fail, might be time to take to cobbler. Maybe the shank is squeaking. Maybe a small mouse has invaded your beloved shoes.

The high school team I'm coaching, made the playoffs for the mock trial tournament.

Orange and vintage are the themes.

Canadian made Ritchie shoes, and a vintage Swiss manual wind watch.

Sadly, they didn't advance despite outplaying the 2 finalists.
