Nice.

How did you get the white stitching on the black 92604? Resole?
Thanks, yeah they were resoled with JR soles with a natural edge and white contrast stitch. 3 of the 6 have JR soles, the others have original soles but replaced heels.

Whenever I have a cobbler rebuild a pair of footwear, I have option of stitching thread. I normally go with original but a popping white one really changes things up.

This is so true. Adding a light cream or white welt stitch really make a shoe pop and bring it more into a casual vibe. Several examples.

I’m a big fan of contrast stitching. Just had these Florsheim NST done by Wyatt and Dad and added a subtle rust color stitching.

Welcome to the forum and the thread. Glad you stopped lurking and decided to post pictures. It’s the best way to start.
Welcome to the thread! I would actually put these at 1982 or 86.
Thanks for the welcome and information! I will go with 1986 for that pair then since the letter looks a bit more like a smudged G to me.
I look forward to future endeavors here!

Thrifted these foster & son yesterday, gave them some TLC this morning.
Could anyone tell me if they were made by F&S or outsourced?

Yes! We are finally out of the rainy season in Tokyo. Time for some Golden Harvests

I've started applying some mahogany and darker brown polish to the toes to hide all the dings and scratches while giving them a burnished look. Still have some more work to do, and I think I'm going to need to scrub the welt stitching again, but the beat up toes are not as noticeable this way.
