I wonder how dark they get? Any pics of that leather darkened up from wear?

Boondocker available on the 1035 last at superdenim.com.

http://www.superdenim.com/prodpage.asp?productid=3927

Not looking to pay $1000 but they do look nice and sleek on that last. I am hoping leffot does another run on the 2030 last.

It's closer to $800 without VAT added. You would also avoid paying duty since they're made in North America, assuming you live in North America.

It's natural CXL except they use the rough out side.
Anyone know about sizing on the 1035 last?

Same as 2030 sizing. The 1035 was said by Viberg to be a last designed for derby shoes. I'm pretty sure. I like the round toe. Assuming it fits wider than the 2030, though. I'd almost want to size down a half.

Actually curious about this - since I'm in the US - are these coming directly from Super Denim, or Viberg? I think they're coming from Super Denim, so I would still have to pay their price and shipping (excluding VAT).

I don't think being located in the US and Viberg located in Canada does you any favors.

You pay customs on the product's place of construction, not the store it was shipped from. If the boots had been made in the UK, you'd get to avoid VAT but you'd be hit with customs on importing them. Since the boots are made in Canada, they are duty free, regardless of their roundabout way of getting to you in the States.

That said, this is a third example of their boondocker roughouts, all with leather soles (only switching up the last). You'd think that they'd do a Dainite or some kind of rubber sole for *someone* especially as the leather sole is actually completely inauthentic to the style. But no, just another leather sole.

I wish the lasts' outlines would appear concentric to each other.

Does anyone know what material these boots were made from? I believe they were originally sold by Superdenim, but I can't find any info.

Am hoping for another dark brown service boot to be released, and these looked pretty good

That's Merlot CXL.
Where you got that info?

A friend of mine has them, so I've handled them few times in person. The leather doesn't feel like chromexcel in my opinion. The leather used in them is dyed to brown completely (where as in chromexcel only the surface of the leather is dyed).

They were listed as 'dark brown' originally but when I enquired, back when they were available, I was told merlot. The info could be wrong of course, maybe someone else knows more.
