Does anyone have an cloth recommendations similar to the jacket that Kenji Kaga is wearing below? Looking for something for spring/summer wear, so ideally looking for something below 310g/10oz

Anyone else watching the GBP and Euro against the dollar and waiting to pull the trigger on some cloths for “later”? I’ve got my eye on a few that about to be reality if the dollar gets any closer to the pound.

Also considering this. How much cloth would be required for a two-piece suit, both single breasted and double breasted? I’m 5 feet 9 inches and standard build (37 inch chest and 30.5 inch waist).

3 to 3.5m
depends on the tailor though
mine is happy with 3.3 most of the time (6 feet/1.84m, 100kg, 44chest, 37 waist)

3,5 Meters sounds reasonable for a single breasted suit. But also consider if the cloth is plain, striped or checked. This will make a difference. Sometimes a big one. And if the jacket is fully lined or not. Unlined needs more cloth. To be sure, talk to your tailor.

it really depends on the tailor. For example, I’m 6’.5 225 45.5 inch chest with a 36-38 waist. My local tailor tells me that I need 5 yards total for a suit and 2.5 yards each for jacket and pleated trousers when they are separates. In contrast, when Edwin from Steed ordered my LL cloth he requested 3.8 meters for a full suit with pleated trousers. With that being said, I would consult with the tailor that you plan to make your garments in regards to their CMT requirements before purchasing cloth. That is exactly what I did.
