Bought a pair of these over the Winter, however, they've gone from their website so can't post a link.

The trousers are actually the high waist, wide legged officer chinos but I can't edit the heading. Doh!

A great fan of high waisted, wide legged trousers here, 6ft 2 and 34" waist, broad shoulders so I feel they suit my shape :)

Anyhow, to the point, after washing and the associated shrinkage they fit perfectly. Apart from the fact they're around 8" too long. Once the shops open again they'll be taken into the tailors to be hemmed and my question is...what're folks thoughts on turn-ups on chinos? All of my wide legged woolen trousers have them and I quite fancy them on the chinos with them also be wide legged.

Will I get away with it?

If you are going for authenticity, then no cuffs. Here is a photo from 1941 of MacArthur and some other officers. No cuffs in sight.

Thank you for the reply.

Not overly worried ref authenticity, more if chinos can carry cuffs. Currently thinking that, with the width, they can.
