Gentlemen,

It's been a few years since my previous overland trip in Asia, but in November this year I'll try finding my way through Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Although my wardrobe covers business and city vacations well, it is entirely unprepared for beaches, jungles and overcrowded buses.

I'll have to expand my wardrobe to find a middle ground between looking like a walking ATM and a sandal-wearing slob. Do you have any suggestions for stylish, yet practical clothing for overland travel in warm weather?

Plain silks and linens, and why not buy them locally while in country. Long sleeves and pants to protect against sun and insects.
Should be as cheap as dirt to buy there and you won't draw attention to yourself wearing it.
To dress any better than this in a third world country only makes one look like a wealthy decadent clown with a death wish.
When in Rome....
