You could probably just soak it in clean water and let it dry again and it would be fine.

j you're a genius. a friend who used to buy for a vintage clothing store (so she has a lot of experience with stains and stuff) suggested i simply wash it, it did the trick. maybe pics later.

So, let me see if I understand the situation correctly; Some time ago, you purchased a jacket- a piece of outerwear intended to protect your clothing, and your person from the elements. Recently, you were caught in a rainstorm and said piece of outerwear got wet, and perhaps a bit dirty. Not knowing how to deal with the situation, you polled an internet forum, and acquaintances for advice on how to proceed. Then (and here's the part where I get lost)... am I to understand that you then...washed?...your jacket, which not only took care of the problem, but likewise certified J as a genius?
