Also Homeland is terrible. Someday there will be a The Wire for natsec but that day has not come yet.

Borgia had great acting, great settings, and some pretty good nude scenes. Basically a total win of a show.

I really enjoyed season one of Homeland, but season two was terrible and put me off the show.

The bullshit with the bomb malfunctioning at the end of season one was the beginning of the end for me. They could brainwash a POW and turn him into a suicide bomber, but they couldn't build a vest that doesn't fail at the most critical possible moment? Give me a break.

I had the same problem with House of Cards. I loved season one, but I don't even think I got halfway through season two.

The scene where Spacey pushes Mara in front of the train ruined the series for me. I watched a few episodes after that but couldn't get myself to finish the season. The notion that the veep would murder someone in public is just so ******* outrageous that I couldn't get over it. I might try to finish the season, but I haven't really felt the inclination just yet.

Anyone watching Da Vinci's Demons?
I feel like Borgias would be a similar setting.

If you haven't, give it a shot. It's a bit exaggerated but the story is amazing.

Try "Rake." It's from Oz and kind of quirky/funny. There's also a single season of "Top of the Lake." It's an interesting detective series set in New Zealand that stars Elizabeth Moss.

Just be careful, there is a US version of Rake, which I don't think is any good.

I'm sorry but the Argonauts' special "CFL Signature" uniforms are ridiculous. Thing is, if they didn't have that huge A on the front, they'd be awesome. (The Argonauts have the best regular uniforms in the CFL, no two ways about it.)

What is preventing you from taking her to small claims?

Ive lurked around a bit on people who have been in my situation. Normally if someone cant even afford basic insurance its doubtful they can pay up. Read plenty of stories of people winning cases but unable to get any money out of the defendant, they end up even deeper in the hole due to legal fees. Feel free to let me know if you think otherwise, it sucks to be out money when you pay your insurance and do everything right...

I never watched 24, but my roommate in college went on a binge and it was awful hearing it in the background. Especially the annoying sound as the clock is ticking down in between commercials. I wanted to kill myself.

True Detective has to be one of the best TV shows made recently, furthermore the way it was shot was incredible. That intense police raid 8 minute long take has to go down as one of the most intense beautiful moments in cinema. Seriously. I am psyched that the director is remaking Stephen King's IT.

Breaking Bad was good, but yes I think it was season 3 or 4 I began to lose interest. Whenever things go more and more over the top for the sake of making more episodes I get bored. Mad Men Season 3 was like this. ******* chore to watch.

I enjoyed The Killing.

I started Top of the Lake. Like it very much so far. I want to ******* punch the guy with the goatee in the face. Such a prick.

Have you seen the danish show that the killing is based on?

BBC ran it with English subtitles and it did so well in the UK that AMC decided to do a remake in the US. You can find the BBC versions online and they are much better.

you know what show is pretty awesome right now? Banshee (all episodes are available on demand if you have Cinemax).

its basically a pulpy Hong Kong Cinema style crime drama (meaning heavy crime drama themes + elaborate action sequences) only its set in NYC and a rural Pennsylvania Amish Dutch Town named Banshee.

its super light viewing, because its so tongue and cheek, the action sequences are pretty impressive, there's a ton of awesome female nudity (cinemax = skinimax), and the violence is gratuitous but used in context.

True Detective was awesome. Hard to believe it was TV a lot of the time, even HBO.

Hopefully Season 2 is on par.

Larry, that sounds awesome, I don't have cinemax though. :( I love old kung-fu films. From Sonny Chiba to Bruce Lee. Love it all.
