not a whole lot really. it's just an old austrian design redone by Margiela and Dior over and over. apparently Urban Outfitters is now jumping on board too. it's kind of like the switchover from BC to AD. everyone who was into them before UO will either claim superiority because they heard of them first (jet) or they will simply abandon them altogether because too many hipsters are now wearing them (scott.m).
