love this- any more details/info pls? i can see its a fifty fathoms, but from what vintage/iteration? have not seen a dial of this type before...

Nice '70s Blancpain 50 fathoms! I have a Zeno Army Diver with the same case but with a nice domed acrylic crystal.


How does one know elapsed time when the rotating bezel is unmarked? IWC PD Ocean 2000 and the German Bund version is like that as well.

It is the FF that Blancpain made for the Bundeswehr (specifically Kampfschwimmer) in the mid-Seventies (and later was replaced by the mentioned IWC/PD). As far as I know, the design is unique to this very model - and I adore it.
