Could anyone comment on how warm are duck cotton canvas chore jackets?
Warm enough for autumn on a flannel, heavy cotton or wool work shirt? (I live in Switzerland). Should I rather go for the casentino?
Many thanks!

I have neither, but I do have the navy wool chore from last season. For autumn I’d always go for wool - I’ve worn mine even in temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius. I live in the Netherlands.

I see that they have a new version of this wool chore, see below. Not sure if the material is the same though. If you can afford it, I’d probably go for the casentino then.

Thank you! Indeed, you can’t go wrong with wool…

Hi, I have a cotton twill chore. That might keep you warm if you wear it with a wool sweater or shirt in autumn, but if you have to choose, I'd go for the casentino chore. I have one, and it keeps out the wind, it's warm even with just a cotton shirt underneath, and it can take some rain (I live in Belgium) without feeling clammy. Stylewise, the casentino wool gives a lot of structure to the chore, so it's less debonair than duck cotton I'd imagine.

Anyone doing a field report / pic of the prices for the Drake's sample thing? I'm sure it would be welcome. If I can go Friday I will.

I live in Paris and have had a duck cotton canvas chore jacket (in olive) since March 2020 and wear it every chance I get - it's my favorite casual jacket. The canvas is quite heavy and it wears in really nicely. Combining it with a thick sweater and a scarf is usually enough for me for most fall and many mild winter days. however, once things drop below 10-12 C, I typically switch to something warmer

If anyone here could proxy a specific games jacket to Europe, this would be much appreciated.

went this morning, nothing too crazy (lots of ties, some wool scarves, hats, some seatown stuff lol) and some games/suiting, knitwear. was hoping to get a boucle vest but they only had small and xxl. didn’t snap a photo of prices, but in line with previous years

Do they have the faded pink/rose corduroy trousers, the brown corduroy games suit or the red short sleeved hiking t-shirts? Might jump on a train later.

Any insights on when the sample sale might be headed to NYC?

I can’t recall from previous years if there’s any relation to when it hits London (I.e. two weeks, a month later, etc.)

For better or worse I’ve changed shape enough that I’m selling much of my Drake’s stuff online and need a restock…
