The $49.90 skinny fit tapered jeans are really really nice.  Not like tights at all.  The material is really nice.  It stretches out in the top block if you wear them a lot (but not too much so its sloppy), plus, the stretch makes it comfy and then you got this nice taper.  Pretty much the perfect jean.  Bought like 7 pairs in every color...to wear everyday.  Too bad they look like it's indigo based, so can only get the greys and the blues and the blacks (no earth tones), but it's nice to have like every blue/grey shade.

The $39.90 stretch jeans are thinner.  Not as nice.

The $29.90 legging jeans were like tights.

I meant the ones that are like 73/20/7 I think? There were some powder blue ones.

Tried on the skinny fit tapereds. Too tight in the thigh for my tastes. Are the slim fit tapereds a bit more roomy in the thigh?

the spring season oxfords seem to be getting thinner and thinner

same reason why I'm skipping the spring oxfords this year. I tried the pink one on and you can see through the fabric a bit. You definitely have to wear something underneath,

I do hope UNIQLO does more collaborations in the future (possibly with Italian brands). You can only roll out so much basics until people notice that you're offering the same items every season (and the quality isn't getting any better).

and they are milking that product for all its worth. it's actually priced really high in comparison to their normal offerings, and it just flies off the shelves. plus, since the technology they are using for it appears to be done inhouse and proprietary....shoot, the margins on it must astronomical. just printing money.

Re: ultra light down, I would never wear it on its own. However, as a layering piece, it's probably mankind's greatest achievement. I can wear my Attachment wool coat around zero degrees; with ULD layered under it, I wear into -30. (celsius)

It's the greatest achievement for the price, there's stuff from Arc'teryx Veilance that destroy it. But for $30 or w/e it's pretty great.

Would you mind elaborating?

Well the down leaks and down is useless when it's wet. The nylon that they use rips easily. I know it's knit picking but there's some really awesome insulators that use coreloft and a nylon which breathes better is is more durable. But we talking like $250-$700 vs $30. So yea Uniqlo ultralight down is great.
