The 21oz doesnt stretch very much either, I just ordered a 201 in one size bigger than my 221, hope it is enough :/

Been wearing my 14.5 oz for almost 2 months now. When I first got them they were a tight to button all the way up so I kind've wore them higher (dumb) and they've kind've stretched a bit in the thigh area. I've lost some weight and since they've stretched a bit the thigh area looks weird.

Shall I just do a hot soak to shrink it back? (or wear em while soaking idk)

If I hot soak my 21oz in a tub, wearing them, do you guys think its any chance for it to stretch a little more? the waist is really tight, and I cant get my hands in my pockets... Ive been wearing them for 17 days, but i cant go on any longer with such an uncomfortable denim :(

Hot soak is unlikely to stretch, if anything it will do the opposite.

Whats with people on this forum sizing down like crazy?

I had just my Nudies to compare, which is 32" and way too loose in the waist, so I thought 30" would fit perfectly..

Sorry for the annoyingly basic questions but what sizing do you guys recommend for the 201 tapered? And where is a good place to buy/order them in the US?

Thanks.

Just received my grey selvedge tapered fit in size 32. I ordered it when I saw they were on sale for $49 from turban outfitters

Word of advice, when people say these are "true to fit" it means they will technically fit, but it will be like a glove. Seriously there is pretty much no air between the denim and my thighs, it is a snug fit, and Im not really that big of a dude. I work out and do some moderate leg work, I wear a size 31 everywhere else and size L tops. Im getting some slight muffin top with these jeans. Yes, I was able to button them all the way up (a tad forcefully), and Im sure they will loosen slightly over time, but to me, that is not grounds to consider something "fitting". There is only so much that stretch can provide.

If you are going for an extremely silhouetted look, it might work, but this renders the pockets completely useless, restricts your range of motion and is altogether fairly cramped for your crotch (I cant imagine what kind of nightmare this fit would be after a days worth of walking around in warmer weather).

If you go commando, it might give you a small bit of relief/room

I am probably going to return these and go for the 33. I suppose if I didnt wear underwear and had nothing in my pockets these might work, but Id prefer a pair of jeans that didnt come with such restrictions.

Anyone else feel the same way? Or am I crazy, and they will magically stretch out to something more comfortable?
